Planning Name Change to Ballerina Cowgirl
The owners of Mrs. Gottrocks Fine Jewelry and Gifts in Manassas,
Virginia announced that they have sold their online business of
the same name, and are restructuring their Manassas brick and
mortar business from a retail storefront to a design studio with
customer hours by appointment only. Ms. Suko, primary owner and
GIA graduate with a Graduate Jeweler Gemologist degee, suffers
from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, and was forced
to sell the online business when it became so successful, and
she so ill, she could no longer handle the workload, or even supervise.
Undaunted, she is designing a line of jewelry called Ballerina
Cowgirl, while her partner and husband, Mr. Levy is venturing
back out onto the web with a scaled down version of the Gottrocks
site under the new jewelry line name. This new site will support
many of the same features as the Gottrocks site, but on a more
casual, manageable level, which will allow Ms. Suko to design
while Mr. Levy worries about the web work. The decision to change
the company name to match the jewelry line seemed appropriate
as Ms. Suko did not wish to confuse her local and longtime customers,
or her vendors with there being two Mrs. Gottrocks.
The website is scheduled to open for sales in July 2004, and
to have its informational features in place by the end of the
year.
